Google and Current Cost announce high-tech collaboration

Thanks to a major new initiative launched by Google and Current Cost, UK householders will be able to sign up to Google PowerMeter, a free online tool that connects to Current Cost devices, enabling users to receive real-time energy information on their customised Google homepage.

This free software tool developed with Google provides real-time data, on how much energy is being consumed in the home. This tool then visualises the information for users to view on their own iGoogle homepage.

Existing Current Cost customers can use the Classic or ENVI monitor with a Current Cost data cable. New customers can order the latest innovation from Current Cost, the Envi R.

The Envi R is a model upgrade from the ENVI and offers many new features. It can also be supplied with a Current Cost Bridge which plugs straight into a broadband router. The Bridge also works with the new Envi R meter reader.
