| AlertMe provides a plug and play system that allows you to connect with your home and securely monitor it from anywhere in the world; by phone, web or mobile. The Alert Me Home Monitoring System is brand new to the market and is affordable, secure, robust and easy to use. AlertMe uses your broadband and a variety of clever sensors around your home to put you in control. The system immediately alerts you and lets you use your mobile phone or the internet to check on things or respond to an incident. 'Plug and Play' means that AlertMe is quick and easy to set up, you don't need any tools or mechanical aptitude and there's no need to drill any holes in your walls. Just plug in the hub, stick on the sensors, and you're good to go. It's designed for the way people really live, and cuts out all the fuss and time taken with the installation of traditional security systems. |

How It Works:
Your keyfobs, sensors, and other accessories all wirelessly use ZigBee to securely talk to the Hub. The Hub acts in the home and tells you of any issues. It also forwards encrypted information over the broadband line and/or the mobile phone network to the AlertMe servers. The servers then respond appropriately: either keeping activity notes for you to view on your private webpages, or immediately forwarding an alert.
The 'AlertMe Service' includes: 24/7 monitoring and alert. a mobile SIM card for backup communications, automatic software updates, battery replacement alerts and customer support. The subscription is £9.99/month for the 'AlertMe Service'... details of which are included within the kits.
You will need a spare Ethernet socket on your broadband router, as well as a mains power socket for your Hub near to your broadband router. You will also need a mains power socket free for your Lamp. |

What Happens If There Is A Problem
You and your chosen friends, family, and neighbours will then receive informative text messages. If someone is nearby, they can try to safely verify the problem. If the alert is a simple mistake, they can give the all clear- no need to worry or bother the authorities with a false alarm. If it looks like a real problem they can immediately call the police or fire department, responding quickly to protect your home. |
